I was wondering is anyone has tried this controller. From what I read on the turbo'd cars, they boost over 20psi at times until they figure them out. I was wondering if anyone had a bad experience with one.

WOW! are my questions that difficult? nobody?

I've got one on mine, works fine. Any boost controller can overboost if you don't set it up right. I just put mine in manual mode and adjusted the boost control solenoid duty up until I got the desired boost pressure. The automatic mode dosent work as well as it does on the greddy Profec e-01 in my 350z.

get the greddy profec b spec 2.. its easier to configure. its overall easier to use. you dont need half the shit that comes with an avcr. also.. the profec is cheaper.

I like the options the AVC-R has. You can set different boost levels for different gears. You could make it boost at 6psi in 1st gear, then go up to 10psi for 2nd and up. This way you don't have quiet as bad traction problems. There is a lot you can do with it. My buddy has one on his 300zx and he swears by it.

I did a little research and with some help. Here are the pin's for the hook up of the AVC-R

AVC-R
Red (12volt power)
Purple (RPM or Injector Signal)
Green (gorund)
Black (ground)
Grey (Throttle)
White (Speed Signal)

ECU PIN's 97-99 connector A106 top ecu harness 1 thru 40 pins, A107 bottom harness 41 thru 80 pin's

pin 20 Black/white (ECU main 12 volt power)
pin 73 White (RPM)
pin 10 Black (Ground)
pin 35 Brown/red (Throttle)
pin 66 Yellow/white (Speed Signal)

NOTE:On grounds use avc-r green and black wire placed on pin 10 GROUND 1/2" apart.

Any more advise on the setup? I thought it was straight forward, just set the boost level and go. I just bought one so any info would be appreciated.

I'm selling mine...and getting the HKS EVC. It's lot easier to understand 1 psi boost spikes. My friend has one on his evo. I don't have the time to mess with learning all functions of the AVC-R.
