Anyone interested in helping/showing/ me how to install a new HG and timing belt?

I purchased my first DSM last summer and had a lot of fun in it (even if it sat and got towed more than it drove ) It had its fair share of problems which is where I learned a lot about cars and how much I enjoy working on them. It taught me a lot even for being a N/T 420a. Long story short, I just recently purchased a 96 GSX and been slowly replacing everything. It was a big change from a N/T and on top it's my first turbo vehicle. Last week my headgasket went on me and now its sitting Im hoping someone wouldnt mind taking time to help teach me on how to change it along with the timing belt and typical 60k service or at the very least give me some advice. I have been looking at the VFAQ and Haynes/Chilton Repair Manuals.

I ordered;
-Felpro HG set (Part # HS9627PT3)
-Gates Water Pump (Part # 42166)
-Beck/Arnley Timing Cover Gasket (Part # 0380258) Is this needed?
-Extreme PSI Timing Kit
*Timing Belt: OEM MD326059
*Tensioner: 95-99 MD308086
*Tensioner Pulley: 95-99 MD182537
*Idler Pulley: 90-99 MD156604
*Balancer Pulley: 95-99 MD352473
*Balance Shaft Belt OEM MR984778
-ARP Headstuds

Its alot more complicated than just telling someone how to do it. Like maybe it could cost you the life of your motor..

I would if I lived closer! But I will tell you this. Definitely pick up a chiltons manual or a Hanes. It helps! I went through the same situation as you...started out with a 420a now I have my first 95 gsx. Let me tell you those manuals are the bible!

It's good to have both Haynes & Chiltons.

First thing to remember the head will need re surface(decked) from machine shop.

This will help you out, some. And if the engine is still in your car.
