Was looking around on the web and found this picture. It's on a Ford Probe but thought these headlights looked like a pretty sweet alternative for the 90-91 DSM's. Let me know what you think and has anyone ever seen these on a 1G and if so... got a picture?

nope, I've never seen that on a 1st gen but I've always wanted to take a stab at it and see how it turns out (maybe I have a good summer project now :)

showdatlaser has something sort of like that but not completely. His headlights are "lazy eyed" and he has round aftermarket lights of sorts where the stock headlights go.

nope no one makes them for the 1ga's.... every other car with flip up's like probes and 240s have aftermarket headlights like that except for DSM's. i cant believe no one has made them yet..... however i think the style that shoudl be made are lights like what you posted but with a clear cover over them so it keeps the body and fornt end nice and smooth. someone should get them made in CF

Actually I have seen those aftermarket style headlights on more than one DSM, but that was on germany owned eclipses, so maybe up there its easier to get that style there... I don't have an exact link, but maybe you can search and you could find something...

Germany also has on their stock turbo eclipses (1st gen) a larger front bumper lip that looks rather sweet.

Why don't you buy a set of those and start playing around with fiberglass it isnt that hard? Look around it has been done but it was custom jobs. I personally like the lazy eye mod better.

I dunno... I've never really tried anything like that... but I guess there's a first time for everything.

I know what you mean Tsi User... about the lazy eye with seperate units installed inside the light. Here's a few pictures I found also on a probe that looks pretty tight. I'm sure this would be pretty simple compared to custom fiberglassing them.

anyone wanna do this to my car for free :sneaky:

but seriously I thihnk I found a project for this summer, that is damn sexy :thumb:

Damn that front bumper on showdatlaser's car is awesome. Anyone know what this is? Looks like a bigger opening for the front mount would be better, but it looks sweet anyway. Not "too much" like most aftermarket front bumpers.

I was just thinking of doing the slim 2X3.5" lights like what the 90's Grand Prix and 4th gen 96-up Firechicken has...
but man... those angle round eyes look MEAN AS HELL....
What did they come off of?
