Anyone ever flock their 1G dash? I like the look of sort suede exotic style interior and reducing the glare would be great. Wondering if anyone has done it to their 1G and has pictures?

Why not cover it with a fabric. I have seen cars where the owner used a headliner material in a camo design that didn't look bad. You can get about any color or pattern you wish and either tuck it or use headliner adhesive to attach it. I personally like the stock look.

I like the look Aston Martin and Lamborghini dashs' I know this car is far from it but would be cool to feel something like it with the look. "Flocking" sounds like it may be the cheapest way (otherwise I would just cover it in black suede) to do this sort of look.

I flocked my door boxes because they were too hard to cover with suede.
I bought a kit from Flockit.com.

Any pics to offer? I can see how following the shape of the dashboard or of the door panels would be a PIA with proper suede (man made or not) or even fabric, I am just a little skeptical with regard to the evenness of the resulting surface and its durability...

In exploring the link posted by Blurred Talon I found a page on the site for auto and motorcycle restoration, which included a PDF of instructions for flocking as well as a few pictures. It's not very intensive, but might give you an idea of what to expect. Try this link, halfway down the page.

Stumbled across this page while researching flocked dashes, I found a hole in the centre of my dash .

Here's my A-pillar, I can take pictures of the other pieces I've flocked later on. No comment on durability, I'm still putting my car back together.

Flocking dashes is pretty common in stage rally. I bet a quick search on specialstage or rallyanarchy would give you an idea of whats all involved. Can't say there will be too many dsms on either of those forums.
On the note of covering it with fabric, the "cheaper" option to flocking tends to be using felt and gluing that to the dash. At the cost of felt currently, I don't think its much cheaper.
I got lucky and scored a prefit fabric dash cover when I purchased my car. I stashed it downstairs until we started racing the car. It sure does cut down on the glare. The nice thing is when that when its dirty, I can pull it out, shake it off, blow it out and wash it if I want.

I wrapped mine in garment leather. I also did my center console and the removable part on the door panels. It looked awesome for about five years. The leather is starting to shrink a little and pull away from the glue in areas. The center console and doors still look fantastic though.
