To kill any confusion i have a 97 Eclipse RS (non-turbo). So don't try and sell me 1G 4g63 parts!
Okay, so i have been searching and searching for the last couple of days. And have found a few good links. Now before anyone says it, i will make it CLEAR. i do not want a testpipe! i am looking into getting a highflow cat! Now with that out of the way...
i am wanting to stay legal. i get pulled over enough as it is. Luckily i only get verbal warnings. Knock on wood. But anywho i am running Megan Racing cat-back and header (2.5 piping) With that said i would like to find a cat that is actually highflow that bolts on direct to the rest of the system. The Megan Racing system replaces the stock perfectly with flanges and everything. Most places i can find either have the exact OEM cat that i already have, a testpipe that i don't want, or a universal cat that requires welding. Now for fear of the want or need to replace anything later on down the road i am not interested in having to weld anything together. That would also probobly require for me to cut off the flanges from the extender pipes in order to make it fit. Overall not interested, okay. So just leave it. i have heard of alott of people mention catco (but there is no sight for them and what i do find is only universal)... i have found random technology that i have read everyone welds on... magnaflow makes a direct bolt on but no one has comented on it, only told me it exists.
Now with all that said is there ANY cat that matches my need? Also i doubt it exists, but i heard someone say something about a sleeper exhaust. And was wondering if there was a cat out there that quites the exhaust and still being higher flowing than stock? Probobly a stupid newbee question. nevermind.
