I thought ive seen a couple members on here with the AMS EVO 8-9 core used in a DSM, is this the same process as mounting a stock Evo core in a DSM?
Any write ups?

I guess it depends on what intercooler it is. From the looks of it, they have at least 2 different designs. One that looks like an upgraded version of the stock intercooler (endtank pipes point towards the ground at an angle) and the one currently listed on their site that likes like a straight side to side FMIC. The thing I see with the one thats listed on their site now, is that the end tank on the left (if you're looking at it from the front) has a slight bend in towards the engine bay. I don't know if that would create problems with our cars. I'd imagine not since all the piping would have to be custom anyways, but it's something to think about.

Just curious though, why are you interested in an AMS Evo intercooler in a DSM? Unless you're getting a damn good deal (i.e. for free), you'd be better off buying a Punishment Racing or VRSF intercooler kit and putting that in, IMO.

I was just curious, since I've seen a couple members with that setup.

its probably because there is one for sale on the classified ads

I say find out the size, and start to fab some pipes up, if you are into DIY type of stuff. I love seeing people take advantage or usable parts.

Just by looking at it, I say you will need to remove or definitely alter/modify the stock bumper support. It will defiantly following a more long route design, you can use an 45 elbow silicone couple at each end and loop it around with a 180 bend pipe.

I seen that ad but I've actually seen someone with it installed already.
