Last night Steve and I worked on finishing up the little things we needed to get done in order to start the car. We got the intake manifold cleaned up and installed along with the upper and lower IC pipes. I finished up the turbo installation and got the radiator in. The COP went on and finally we filled her up with fluids. Its amazing how much time these little things can take up. We started at 7pm and we were ready to turn it over by 10pm.

We had one little issue. We forgot to bring the laptop to set-up the ECMlink. We figured we would just give it a try and see if it fires. It took a while to get the fuel pressure up and then it backfired and tripped the breaker by the battery. We reset the breaker a few times but it just wouldn't stay set. I am not a fan of that particular breaker so I'll be moving my marine grade one from the Eclipse to the VR4. We will try again this weekend to get things moving.

I am having trouble getting photo's posted but as soon as I can I'll get some photo's up.

I don't know the name of the breaker that's in the car but it looks like this

Mine is older and round and I think is rated at 200amps. I will get a picture of it this weekend when we swap it over to the VR4.

We could also be having a problem with either not having the ECMlink set-up or I may have wired the coils backwards which may explain the backfire. It will run on Sunday and we'll have it on the road all next week tuning and getting both the ride height and alignment taken care of.

that looks nicely built, what will the hp ratings be? are u gonna keep it like this after or are you gonna put everything back on the gsx after?

Our goal with the L1R turbo is 400hp to the wheels at 25psi of boost. We have a surprise in the works that should add another 50hp to that number.

What's going to happen to the car after the event is a great question. It will stay together through the end of May so I have something to run at Watkins Glen. After that we are not sure. It all depends on how it drives and what the condition of the budget is in after everything is said and done. We could sell it as a whole, I could buy it and trash the Eclipse, or we can move the parts back to the Eclipse and sell off whats left of the VR4. My gut tells me that I will end up with the car and the Eclipse will go away.

keep them both
