All of sudden started shaking violently

So I drove my car into town and had no abnormalities. Went into freds for like 20 mins and then when I went to leave my car would shake when I put it into gear. It does it through all gears no matter how hard it's revved or how fast I'm going. It was nearly impossible to get up this hill by my house in 1st(speed limits 10mph). The whole car was shaking violently. The clutch def needs replaced but would that cause this problem? And if so why would it come on all of a sudden?

What's it doing when you are just sitting in neutral? If it is shaking like crazy in neutral then you probably have an engine issue.

If it only does it in gear when you are trying to move then it might be your clutch is destroyed.

In neutral it's completely normal. And alittle after I shift(as long as I'm on flat ground) it stops shaking.

So the engine is fine and it jerks around and will hardly make it up a hill. Sounds like you have a slipping clutch.

If you are on flat ground and just floor it what happens? Will your RPMs shoot up and the car moves slow or jerks along?

If the frequency of the shaking follows the speed of the engine, your clutch probably broke to pieces; if it follows the speed of the vehicle, it's possibly a C/V joint. No the boot doesn't have to be ripped. Yes it can start happening all of a sudden.

If it's a bad neighborhood, one or more of your wheels could be ready to fall off.

Ok when im on flat ground and engage it used to just rev up because the clutch was slipping so bad. Today it's shaking along with the normal free rev of a horribly slipping clutch.

I checked my wheels there tight. I will check if it's going with the engine or wheels. EDIT...actually I'm almost positive it's shaking with the engine and not the wheels.

Put a new clutch in it dude. It's very possible that it is causing the shaking as well.

Ya I was gonna put a clutch in within the next couple weeks. Anybody know how bad this would be to drive? What if I adjusted my clutch all the way, would that help it alittle for now anyways? Im supposed to be at my recruiters office at 9am.

It's not going to get any better by adjusting anything. Now you are just playing a game with time waiting for it to completely go out on you.

Thanks. Its just for physical training while I'm waiting for boot, but i missed last week so he's not gonna be happy.

I've only done one clutch before and it was on a Honda. The instructions I'm finding for replacing the clutch are alittle confusing. What all I do I need disconnect on these cars?
