ive been fiberglassing my interior door panels, rear panels, center console, kick panels, side panels, even the console holding our speed and tachs. so ar ive spent around $250 for the materials with this project. Trips for fiberglass mats, resin, spreaders, primer, glazing putty, and SANDPAPER. i used spandex and atttached it all the the orignial door panels. i used wires and foam molds to hold it in place when i stretched it out. after i soaked that with resin once of twice i could begin glassin it with mat. once i was done it was bondo, sand, bondo, sand, then glazing putting and filler primer. i actually even customized my front blitz bumped this way by making fdog light molds in the center opening, and the side ducts were made vertically broader. i cut out around the shape of my ducts with a dremel, then i cut 1.5" of the direct duct vertically off. i glassed the back of the duck and bondoed over it. then i just repreated the process. im looking for a painter to top off my long ass project to a nice finish. im thinking of painting it all white, and i want to get some handles with tv molds in them made soon to match my red exterior. eventually this summer ill make some insane glassed sub enclosure for my trunk. if anyone knows of a great painter around DE or surrounding states let me know. ill get pics up soon of my bumper and interior so far.
