Alarm LED hookup question

I got one of those flashing LEDs for car alarms when the ignition's off. ( http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=14934&item=5702916996 )


Here's straight from it:

Replace the existing alarm LED with this hyper bright LED. (Only two wires hook up.) You can also use it without alarm system. (Three wires hook up) Hyper LED will activate when engine is turned off or key is removed. (You can hook up more than one of these LEDs.)

It didn't come with any instructions or the original packaging, so my question is:
It has 3 wires (Red, black, and yellow). My car has a stock factory alarm with no exsisting LEDs (obviously)..so do I need to hook up just the red & black, or do I also hook up the yellow one too??

you need all 3
red and black to power the led (constant 12+)

and the yellow is an "off" trigger. Recommend acc 12v.
