ok i installed a air/fuel narrow band gauge in my 91 gsx and i hooked it up right but its idk messed up or something......the sender wire was hooked to the ecue 24p 4th in and 1st row. and the rest to the fuses...

the problem...it reads all the way lean at idle untill 3k rpm then at 3k rpm its bounces up and down on the optimal marks, then after 4k rpm and higher it reads all the way rich...its acting like a rpm meter....idk can someone help me on this to understand it.

yea my car does the same thing when its cold.......that meter is supposedly no good cuase it doesnt give you an accurate air/fuel ratio number.....the air fuel ratio changes x# of times a second soo thats why it bouces back and forth..........

any1 else???

yea mine was inthe car wen i bought it.............mines hooked up to my stock o2 sensor........its just like cosmetic........kinda annoying it just blinks like crazy back and forth....

My car also originally came with a narrowband. If you want something you can rely on for tuning purposes, you are going to have to get a wideband O2 sensor. I finally got a wideband o2 (got the UEGO on ebay new for $200) and I love it. No more light show; now it constantly shows the 'correct' air/fuel mixture all the time.

does the UEGO wideband come with everything to install...like if i bought it can i just install it right out of the box or will i have to buy more stuff...... cus im waiting for my tax return to install down pipe, and turbo manifold and wideband

Everything you need will come with it. It will even come with the Bosch sensor, which is around $50 to buy it separately.

Check to make sure you are getting 0-5V signal from the front O2 sensor wire. The gauge should read one/two bars in lean during the first 10 seconds or so during cold startup because the O2 sensor is heating up. It should then scan from lean to rich when the car is at idle. Regardless of rpm, if your at WOT it should read rich. Again check to make sure your hooked into the correct signal wire.

hey bud go with the PLX DM-5 & SM-AFR , i think plx is doing a great job with there line up,, especially with the DM100 iMFD DISPLAY, either that or the eugo,,.....
