I'm looking for a new radiator and I've been leaning towards the punishment racing kit. I called them and asked and they said since my gst is automatic I either have to loop the lines or run a tranny cooler. How do you loop tranny lines and what does this mean haha also I'm just running the stock cooler so can't I just mount it elsewhere?

The stock transmission cooler should be INSIDE the radiator. If you have an external oil cooler than there is no problem. Just remount it if the radiator get's in the way. Looping them together means just that. Run a peice of hose from the 2 lines off the trans to connect them. I would definitely get an external one though.

Would getting an external one be worth it? I'm planning on doing a 5 speed swap in a few weeks I got all my parts just need the time to do it. I guess I confused the oil cooler with the trans cooler, so the oil cooler is that little cooler sitting in front of my radiator?

Not aht should be a transmission cooler. Just follow the transmission lines on the car to see where they go.

ya i dont think 2g's have a oil cooler? i could be wrong but as far as i know the only thing that has a oil cooler is a 90 but dont quote me

They all have oil coolers. The 90's have external oil coolers. The rest are in the oil filter housing.
