AFPR same as bypass regulator?

Hi there
So I have a simple question. Is a AFPR for a EFI engine the same as a bypass regulator for a carbureted engine? Im thinking its the same, but the fuel bypass reg. comes before the carb? can someone verify this?

It's the same thing, just a different name. The carb. regulators just run at a lower pressure than the EFI equivalent.
