Anyone using this yet? I have searched all over and no one has any information on it. I have it installed and working fairly well but I just wanted to know if anyone has installed it and messed with the Wastegate Spring pressure setting.

It is kind of like the "gain" on the Greddy EBC's. AEM says you input the value of your wastegate spring pressure and the solenoid stays closed untill that value so your boost shoots up fast. They say it can help boost creep/spike issues. I have been messing with it between 10-13.5psi and the 10psi setting (e316g gate) seams to make the boost come on pretty slow. The 13.5psi setting makes the boost rocket up pretty fast but if i am in a higher gear say on the highway and get into boost, its like the solenoid is fluttering because boost goes from 12-16psi. It's very weird.

Just wondering if anyone has had any experience messing with the AEM tru-boost. Let me know. Thanks!

i haven't used one on a DSM yet but we have installed them on EVO's and they perform very well. We had a bad one the first time and AEM took care of it but aside from that we have been doing great with them. hold boost rock solid and it keeps the gate closed so we have actually seen stock cars spool quicker. i recommend it.

What are you guys setting the wastegate spring pressure at to spool it quicker. Say you set it at 6psi...the solenoid stays open until 6psi is reached then it bleeds off the pressure. So I guess if you set the pressure to high the pressure will build up until it opens the gate then the Tru-Boost will close the solenoid and try to bleed it off, causing boost to shoot up then come back down then start building again.

Would it be best to put the wastegate spring pressure at 1-5psi? That was my question I was trying to get at. What people are having good luck with the spring pressure settings.
