its a cool night here,and did a run.3rd gear,12psi,base timing 5*btdc... now why do i have to set my afc to only -12% for my hi's with 680's? doesnt make sense to me,and i am still knocking..i will check for boost leaks tomorrow.

Doesn't an SAFC I and II kind of mess the signal up after correcting it +20% or more/-20% or less? I was told that I could only run 580's at the largest.
 
The maximum adjustment with the SAFC-II is + or - 50%.

The only thing that gets banjacked when using injectors that big is your timing advance. With 680cc injectors you are going to be showing the ECU almost 35% less airflow than there really is, which will give you some severly advanced timing. The other problem you can run into is using race gas. With race gas you will have to lean out the SAFC-II even more and may put you out of the correction range.

Take a look at your FT's at idle and post them up.
 
checking for boost leaks is always a good idea, but a boost leak isnt going to explain why you are only at -12 on the SAFC. Having a boost leak is going to make your car run overly rich, which means if you should 'normally' be at -30, then with a boost leak you could get away with even leaner settings.
 
25 degrees of timing advance seems a little too much to me. If you go leaner with safc then the timing is going to be even more advanced and that could lead to more knock. Sounds like it's time for a chip.
