Alright I have been searching for a few days to find out how to properly adjust global and dead time settings in DSMLink. I recently upgraded from PTE 680 to PTE 880cc injectors when I installed my new turbo "holset hx35".
I know from reading that my globals should be set at aprox 45% and my dead time at 420 with my fuel press set at 43.5. Now my problem is that I am reading my LTFT low and mid and both are right at 15.5. I understand the they want you to adjust the globals to try to get them to as close as 0 as possible. I have tried changing the global setting and nothing seems to change.
Now my question is first, which way do I want to take the global to try to fix this, do I want a higher # or lower#? Also as far as dead time goes I'm a little confused as well as to what I want to do there.
As of now I have it set to 48% global and 405 dead time and it seems to be better than the suggested values of 45% and 420 dead time but it's still giving me some issues like when idling I can definitely hear it "pop" intermittently. I would imagine this is due to running rich but I'm not sure how to fix it.
Also when driving "normal speeds" not WOT it hesitates pretty good when I'm taking off from a dead stop until I get up around 3500rpms or so.
If anyone could please give me some insight it would really help. When I bought the car it already had the 680's in it and was set up for them so I never had to do this aspect of it before. thanks in advance
