Good for up to about 400awhp? Not much more if any at all. Ill be shooting for 350-400.

I was going to go all ACT 2600 sprung disc, but for significantly less, I could go ACT2100 and South bend TZ unsprung disc. Only problem is I am AWD and I'm concerned. I was planning on 400+awhp, but now I think Ill settle at around 350 if possible.

Should I go Act2600 sprung disc or ACT2100 +SBC/TZ unsprung?

The SBC combo is gonna be around $300 Just PP and Disc (ill probably try and negotiate (its private party)Im aware that the ACT 2100 w/act sprung disc is ~350 for the kit.

I just want to know if this is going to be worth it, and if it holds torque like a 2600 sprung disc from act

I read this, and he ended up goind 2600 sprung 6-puck :ohdamn:

I havent installed yet(waiting on my tranny from Jacks), but I went with act 2600, full kevlar South Bend disc, act streetlite flywheel and oem t.o.b. Im shooting for 350-400. Im hoping this will hold more if I ever want more power.

How long do you plan on it lasting? My goal would be a few years... or at least 40k miles.

I almost never launch (I have yet to actually launch from 4.5k) I usually fast slip at 2000, and then floor it once engaged. I do lift off the clutch to shift.

Im really on the edge for this. Im leaning towards all out 2600. (and I have a nice price lined up on it all new, just not as nice as the other combo could be)

If I were you id stay away from the full kevlar disc. Last season I needed a clutch and after hearing good things about the southbend disc I bought one. Ran it with my act2600 and stock flywheel on a 16g it only lasted a handfull of trips at the drag strip. After doing more research its the not the full kevlar thats recommended but the half kevlar. Ended up going with an act unspung street disc and couldnt be happier.

Im hoping it last at least 20-30k. I never launch above 3k either, but it will be there if need be. My 2 cent unsprung is more for the track and not a dd(my car is a dd). A unsprung will just grab and go, no play. Probably not good for a stock tranny. Just my opinion tho.

Ok im pretty sold on not going that direction. sh!t it was a good deal too. oh well do it right...

Do you think the unsprung is raping your trans at all? thats the only worry I would have about that.

You still drive your car in the MD area? we need to get some dsm representation going on out here.

I dont think it is, ive read that the solid hub is hard on the trans but it seems fine knock on wood. It chattered a little during the break in but its smooth now, nothing like my buddys 6 puck. car seems to shift a little faster at the track with the much lighter disc. I still drive the car on the weekends mostly and to the track during the season, i ve had the car three years and only put 11k on it
