ABS or not ABS that is the question...

I have a 98 GSX and trying to figure out the abs on her. This is what is going on...

-no abs activation when stopping quickly

-There is a abs fuse in the 40amp slot but none in the 15amp(The amperages might be a tad off doing this post from memory)

-No wireing going into the fuse box for the 15amp fuse

-Abs speed sensors on all wheels

-There is a abs motor

-abs light turns on and off right when car is started


The biggest question i have is, why am i missing the fuse and wireing for the abs is i have all the other parts for it?

I'm guessing that a previous owner did a half assed ABS delete on it

I dont know if its technically a delete if only one part of the abs system( the 15amp fuse) is missing... I think there is more to this then just a ABS delete...plus this car is completely stock...so i dont think the abs delete was even thought about...

Ha, yea my previous owner just pulled the main fuse so it doesn't run with ABS haha... thats one way to delete it i guess.

but there isnt any wiring to that 15amp fuse...the 50amp is all there...

Hence the word half assed. That or it was a cheap ass mechanic's way to stop the ABS light from coming on.

Looked throught my DSM service manual...and looked at the wiring diagram for the abs... I think im just going rewire the abs
