I bought a thermometer for my car. It runs on AA battery. I want to connect it to the fuse box (note directly to the car battery) so I don’t have to keep purchasing double A batteries. Can I connect wires to the + and – on the thermometer where the AA battery is suppose to go and connect those wires to the fuse box?

DC transformer?

You'll need a voltage regulator. Radio Shack probably has the chip, or use one of the multi-heads and take its guts out.

Or, you'd probably find a battery will last over a year, and not need so much fussing.
