Cool! Turn it in for the 2009 DSMtuners calendar. It's time to start submitting photos so we can get a calendar for next year. (I hope someone's listening)

OP, that photo is beautiful! I had to google HDR to figure out what that is LOL. Now that I've poked around a bit, what are you using to process the image? Or can your camera create the composite automatically? I've got an old version of Photoshop, so I could layer it up, but I'm wondering if there's an easier way.

The dumpsters in the background are especially pithy.

Silly man, why'd you get rid of my picture? It was a cropped/straightened out version of OP's pic ;)

You can do it two ways. The ghetto way is to take 1 picture and create 3 layers in PS. layer 1 is normal, layer 2 is underexposed (like -.25 or something), layer 3 is overexposed (+.25). Then you just merge all 3 layers together and you get HDR. The second and 'real' way to take HDR is to bracket your camera.

Guess, I'm ghetto then LOL. I just take the pictures manually. But, I still use 3 pictures typically. I've done HDR a couple of different ways, either manually in photoshop or using a program called photomatix. Photomatix you can download off the website HDR photo software & plugin - Tone Mapping, Exposure Blending & HDR Imaging for photography. Its a shareware version unless you pay 90 bucks, but all it does is leave a water mark on the photo.

However, you can get around paying for it by making 3 sets of your original picture and Leaving one set normal, rotate one set 90 degrees, and rotate the last set 180 degress. Then process them all the same in photomatix. Put all 3 processed pictures in photoshop and flip the two rotated ones back around to normal. YOu will see that the watermarks are in different spots on all 3 pictures, so you can erase them and layer the 3 pictures to get rid of the water marks altogether.

But, photomatix is a really great program. I highly recommend it if you are in to HDR photography.

Those are actually big cement manhole type things. Not really sure why they are painted black if they are going into the ground, but whatever.

Thanks for the HDR info guys. I've got a Canon S3IS so I'll bracket and give it a try.

Here are some better versions of the larger version of this pic. I just upgraded to photoshop cs2 from 6.0. So now I have a noise reducer at my disposal.

Pretty sure I'm going to be selling this car soon, so these will probably be the last pics of it. I HATE the 50 posts rule on this forum, I've been here for a year yet I still can't post classifieds. Oh well sorry for the rant, I have to find a place to spam a little so I can post classifieds. Here are the pics:

Unfortunately, your post/spamming was in the hangout so it won't count toward your 50 posts. Nice try though.. :p

Why did you decide to sell the car? Its such a lovely thing and you really haven't had it that long. I think you should keep it.

Honestly I'm just afraid to drive it. I guess i just read up on DSM's too much before I bought one. Theres not really anything major wrong with it, I just feel like its going to break every time I drive it, so its not really enjoyable for me.

You can't sell it just because your paranoid of stuff breaking! Believe me, its not as bad as you think it is. I've had my DSM for over four years and it hasn't broken on me yet. Besides, if anything does break on your car we are here to help you fix it.

You can't have had too much trouble with your car so far. If your car was giving you trouble, your post count would be way past 50 by now from all those posts in the newbie forum! LOL

Maybe, I have it posted on craigslist now. I guess I'll see if I get any responses. If someone offers close to 6000, I'll probably take it, just because I would be making about 3000 for cleaning it up a little and fixing a few small things.

1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX (AWD TURBO)

I don't know. I don't really want to sell it, but im paranoid as hell that something in the transmission is going to go wrong, and I really have no sort experience in working on transmissions, let alone awd transmissions.

If I sell it, i'll be getting an LS1 trans am, so its not like I wouldn't have a fun car to mess with though.
