I just tap'd into jpipe for MBC... whats best way to make sure theres no scraps in jpipe? And do I need to use some sort of sealent to put back on?
I had greddy type s BOV and now putting back on 1g bov... what sealent should i use to help prevent a boost leak?

Thanks

If you put a fitting into the jpipe use Teflon tape around the fitting maybe seal it with a small amount of rtv.

BOV just use a paper gasket and spray it with copper spray.

Copper spray is stuff you get at Advanced Auto/ Autozone / Napa / Oreilly's etc. It should be near the the gasket maker stuff. I prefer it to rtv because RTV smells bad, is quit frustrating to work with, and to much rtv can #### things up in the long run.

Copper Seal, or Copper Spray, etc its made by Permatex. It comes in a short spray can. Just ask the guy at the counter for some permatex copper gasket sealer spray. I bought a can 6.99$ and it was enough to do my whole engine. Every gasket but the valve cover gasket. I also did several 3 inch exhaust gaskets and several header gaskets, as well as a downpipe and 02 housing before hand so the can will last you a long time. Its great stuff and is heat resistant, and oil/gas/water/coolant resistant. But it wipes off easily with a solvent like brake cleaner. Much less of a headache than RTV Silicone.

Also if your gonna use rtv. Get a small scrapper Approx 2" and max sure that the coat is very thin and even across the gasket, other wise you will run into squeeze out, where the rtv squeezes into air, water, and oil passages as well as bolt holes. Really quite messy and frustrating.
