O.K. so I took my car to a chain auto repair place, not sure if I should or can mention thier name but it may ryme with Flyer Phone for A/C not cooling. They told me that I need a new compressor, drier, and clutch for over 1000.00 . They also said the CV axle has to be removed to get the compressor out, but the chilton and Haynes manuals say it should be removed from above WTF. I am not an a/c man so someone please let me know which is correct. They also ordered a compressor and drier from a chain auto parts Zone for autos and charged me an 85% markup on the compressor 599.99 and 45% markup on the drier 85.99. The best is they broke the top part of my old compressor where the lines attach and said it was because it was over tightend and I now need to find another but I cannot purchase and bring it to them because they are not allowed to install customer parts. They must go and purchase the part even if from a bone yard . I am not happy needless to say and now I am not sure what I can do if anything, at this point I almost want to tell them to put the parts back and take my car elsewhere. the picture is of the broken part, and yes the auto parts store unit in the back ground, if anyone knows where I can buy one of the broken piecses please share.
