97 Spyder Reading Lights

I have a very interesting problem. I had just replaced the stock dome 214 lights with 211 red lights. The first light worked when I first put it in. Then I put in the second light, it worked but then the second one stopped working. I took out the first light and replaced it with the stock one and it worked. Then as I was trying to take out the 2nd light, it kinda shifted and lit up. The funny thing is it lit up the moment it touched the metal contacts when I first put it in, but when I replaced the first red bulb into the contacts, it did not light up even though the its metallic ends were in contact with the metal contacts. I have tried for almost 2 hours to make it light up again but it just would not do it. Anyone suggestions? BTW, the bulb was not burnt out as I can still see the filament intact within the bulb.

ok..so as of now..which light works and which doesnt? or do nether work? and if neither reds work..do the stock ones still work?

Hook up the non-working bulb directly. Sound burned out.
