Sorry but i am a newb when it comes to this particullar car especially in the area of turbos. Ive read a thread that "kinda" pertains to my question but i wish to have the answer clarified in more detail if someone could. After about 3000-4000 rpms, my feals like it jumps or chokes if you will. How do i fix it? The other thread "boost creep" spoke about the wastegate causing the problem due to too much flow. They suggested a boost controller to fix it. I have a boost controller set up, but i am newb and still learning to understand how everything works.

Here is my set up, (i just bought the car)
97 gs-t 44k miles
tokico gas shocks, ebaich springs
greddy elbow, with a 1g bov(i think its the 1g, not sure how to check.... :p )
apex n1 full exhaust
aftermarket boost gauge and egt blitz gauge(egt not drilled in yet, too scared...)
knn fpik intake filter
manacor plug wires, with ngk plugs(new)
Blitz electronic boost gauge

My question is of my boost controller, how does it work and how must in be installed correctly. It has a high and low settings with 2 turn "thingy's" to set a preference i guess. How do i set it?

My second question is, after purchasing the car. I did an extensive cleaning of the engine bay, because the previous owner had the car "sitting" i discovered that that there was loose vacum wires under the air filter, and on the intake pipe from the turbo to the filter there was a tube pluged with a screw, on the inner side of the pipe( if the makes sense ) So how should the filter been installed correctly.

I will update pics as soon as i can.

Thanks again, and sorry for being a idiot.

this thread shows how the vacuum lines are orignally ran and shows what you can do to them to clean up and eliminate leaks (at the cost of deleting the emmisions equipment)

As for your boost controller, what type do you have. They are a few differences between EBC and MBC and the features they incoperate, but the idea between them are the same, you want to trick the wastegate from opening by "bleeding off" the air that would otherwise open the wastegate. Thus allowing the turbo to produce more boost. Hallman's site has install directions for their common manual boost controller and the same method is used for many other "MBCs". This info can be found here: http://www.hallmanboostcontroller.com/files.html However it is still prefured that you locate the install directions for the particular model of BC you have.
