Bought the car in December as my first manual car. One of the previous owner converted the car from a gst to a gsx, and the guy before me only did basic maintenance so its been sitting for awhile.

Pros: car!

Cons:
-all the wiring is f***ed up, most of the dash doesn't work except the speedometer.
-the fans are all routed to run off the AC, keeps blowing fuses
-ebrake cable is loose
-the prongs in the headlight are bent so it's a little wonky rn
-convertible top doesn't work/also been drying in the sun for 10+ years so it's basically shredding in the wind when i drive
-Previous owner took out the Cat and put a flex pipe that doesn't fit
-radio gives me an error code
-side skirts are f***ed up, precious owner used like liquid bonding glue and now it won't come off the car
-paint/carbon fiber is sun damaged

What I've done so far:
- replaced both fans so they work (broke the connectors )
- replaced the MAP sensor because it broke in half
- repainted some problem areas and where someone keyed the car
- bought parts but haven't gotten around to installing them just yet
- tried to fix the radio but mitsubishi says that they don't have my vin ??

Current issue: car has a super high idle all the time and is physically pulling forward even when not pushing the gas. Can't tell what the rpms are at since I haven't rewired the dash but it's like driving a spaceship.
Hypothesis: fiav is messed up
Currently: in the process of finding another.

Alright alright, I guess I should update:

Pros: car!
Cons: car

What I've done since then:
- did a smoke test, no leaks
- replaced the ISC (idle speed control) (nothing happened)
- installed knock sensor (nothing happened)
- cleaned the throttle body (nothing happened)
- changed throttle body gasket (nothing happened)
- tps (throttle position sensor) wasn't working correctly so I put in a new one (nothing happened)
- put in a block off plate for the Fiav (idle changed from spaceship to lawnmower, now reeks of gas, has no power)
- took out the dash and traced the wiring, the gauges issue seems to be because the paper circuit on the cluster is warped and eroded in some areas, so I ordered a new one (pray), also noticed a couple of missing relays
- ordered a new ignition coil but its still in the mail

Current issue: idle is still not great, now reeks of gas, and seems to build boost but no power with it. The only code its throwing is the O2 sensors.
Hypothesis: fuel pump went out (maybe), also looking at getting a new wastegate solenoid if it's not the fuel pump
Currently: waiting for it in the mail
