96 2.0 non-turbo dies randomly when ac is on

96 Eclipse RS 2.0 non turbo/automatic, whenever I run the ac the car will die randomly. When I say random, I truly mean it. There are times where I can take a 30 minute trip and it will be just fine and other times it will happen after 5 minutes. It will occur when idling or going 70. I've had no issues with the car dying if the ac is off.

I could honestly live with it if it didn't occur while I'm going 70 down the highway. I searched threads but didn't see anything and I apologize if I missed something. Any ideas? Let me know if more info is needed as well.

Is your compressor making any strange noises and does the belt look okay?
