Ok, I just got my car back from a bodyshop after being completely repaired and repainted. They also put a 3 inch exhaust system on it and a ETS FMIC. The car worked fine with no noticable problems for 2 days. After I came home from my friends house the other night, I parked it and went to sleep. The next morning I went out to go to work and it would'nt start at all. No clicking, no cranking. Before I had all this body work done to it I bought a brand new battery for it. When i have my key in and the door open it won't beep like it normally does.... for about 10 seconds, then it will start beeping. Also, when I try to start it it just makes a weird humming noise. I've never had this problem with a car before.....

Well, I just bought I brand new battery for it about 5 months ago. Do you think I should take it out and have it tested?

Yeah test it. Buy a voltmeter, you can get one cheap then jump start your

car. Check the alternator is working also, you should be running somewhere around 14v. The battery alone

should only be 12v. If you can get it running and get to an autozone they can test it for free. Also

check the alternator relay under the hood. Check your alternator relay fuse under the hood in the

fuse box.

Yea i would mess with the grounding wire to the starter. My car did that when i finished up my rebuild. When i went to start the car, the car wouldnt do anything and then i messed with the wiring on the starter (just moving them and checking and what not) and the car just started right up. Good luck to you buddy, electronics and starting problems can be a PITA in my opinion. Just keep at it

Alright sounds good. I'll try that, and if that doesn't seem to work I'll take the battery to autozone.

sounds battery related just make sure to check all your connections and chase wires out. have you done anything else to your car recently that could cause electrical problems.
