95 gst cuts out in 5th gear Wot

i decided today to open my car up a bit i just did the Super 16g swap and wanted to test it out a bit with the boost up. my car usually holds 14.3 psi at wot and occasionally goes up to 14.6 but i haven't seen it higher. i was going about 115 in 5 th and it just cut out on me, for the rest of the trip i couldn't go over 4500 rpm in any gear without it cutting out. i checked all my pipes and lines and couldn't find anything, it seems to have stopped it now except for 5th gear. i can put it in 5th and go wot , when i hit about 80 mph near 3000 rpm it cuts out but all is fine in the other gears, any suggestions? there is a complete list of my cars mods on my profile.

You probably have a boost leak thats causing you to hit fuel cut.

If these tests are on public roads, try to slow down a little.

115mph is breaking the law and you could easily lose your license or you life.

your problem is you dont have any fuel or tuning mods. Sounds like a boost leak though.

well im new to this but if it was a boost leak wouldn't i experience the problem in all gears, at the moment i only have the problem in 5th gear

There is the possibility of a boost leak, but you also have to take into account that you have no tuning mods or at least you haven't listed any. Our cars do not like knock, and if while in a run, you do experience any reasonable amount of knock, they tend to keep knocking. Typically when you tune your car, you tune your maps for the gear you will be running. Running 5th gear at WOT isn't the greatest of ideas untuned. Especially if you continue pushing the car even after you get knock. Like I said it very well could be a boost leak, and that should always be one of the first thing to check, but you have got to support your mods! Good luck.

If you can't find a boost leak, I would try new plugs. Fouled plugs will break down under load/boost. Try a set of stock NGK's set to .028.
