Chilliwack,
i have a 90 talon tsi and am looking at a blitz front bumper instead of the stock bumper. 2 Questions. 1 - How low will the blitz bumper be from the ground at a stock ride height. And 2 - the blitz kits are usually made for the eclipse? and when i shop around it says minor modifications needed...what would those modifications be, anything major????

i didnt think there was a blitz kit for the 1ga.. I had the bomex front on my 1ga and it looked decent but fitted horrible. And if you hit a bump it felt like the whole thing was gonna explode. Dont even bother with a body kit. Drop the car and get some rims.

thanks for the reply. and sorry about posting 2 threads, im 17 and very new to this, so im getting used to it, but thanks for letting me know.

the blitz kit might be too low, and the only other kit i'm considering is a drift, does anyone have any specs on that? or maybe a different lip that will look good.

No the modifications wouldnt be anything MAJOR but remember that the blitz kit is the lowest kit out there for the 1g and when I say low I mean LOW, if you don't get a urethane blitz kit then you can kiss that kit byebye in a matter of days. I would recommend something like this (http://www.importfan.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=104_220_223&products_id=1954) one of the SEXIEST 1g kits out there. good luck :thumb:

to bad they dont make that for the 1gb talon

while it is true that you have to be more careful, I had my car lowered all the way on coilovers with a body kit, you could not even get your shoe under the front bumper. I drove the car like that for 2 years, and in my area, the roads suck. I cracked the bumper a little from going into parking lots but never to the point where a small fiberglass patch an some touch up paint wouldnt fix it.

and with the low quailty it will fit like shit

i have the drift kit , it sits very low , wish i would have never put it on.

so now, i cant even lower the car , and i have alread been through one bumper.

well how about the following kit? (hopefully it shows up) anyone have that kit and happy about it? i think it looks pretty good.

Personally I think that kit looks like pOOp. it doesnt flow with the stock body lines AT ALL. But however it is YOUR car so do what YOU want.

You can drive around with a kit and not screw it up. I have the drift kit on my car and it is lowered 2 1/2" in the front and 2 1/2" in the back with ground control drop springs. I do have 18" wheels that let it ridr a little higher than what it wouls on the stock 16s. I scrape everywhere in town, but i am very cautious when driving. The only thing that doesnt scrape much is the back. The front gets the most, and the sides get a lot. If you are careful and go slow when you think your are going to scrape, you will be fine.
