1G 90-91 Talon Taillight Conversion to 92-94

I'm wondering if anyone has converted a 90-91 talon bumper and rear lights into a 92-94 talon.
Also it doesn't look too difficult but will everything fit well without bringing out the torch, welder, BMH, etc.

I did it and you need a die grinder to cut the support up a little bit and you'll have to put the 90-91 wires in the 92-94 lights nut its really easy took me like maybe an hour

I was just thinking about doing a conversion like that on sunday.

yeah, everything bolts right up. the only difference though is the exhaust cutout. the 90-91 is slightly to the left of the 92-94. so if you have a stock exhaust, it may not line up perfectly. at least it didnt' on my laser.

it doesn't bolt right up you have drill your own bolt holes on the bumper support and cut out the dip for the center piece in the bumper support

Well thanks for all the info. Was wondering a couple things, first off gofast89 did you put the the lights in with the stock bumper or did you put the 92-94 bumper with lights. I guess I'm a bit confused.

Also terminaltsi, how much different is a laser from a talon trim wise.

i didn't realize he wasn't doing the whole swap. i swapped everything so that it would all fit perfectly and bolt right on.

well, the lasers were the same as far as trim goes. the early turbo lasers didn't get the cladding and wings that hte talons and eclipses got. also they had crankup windows in the base turbo model.

basically if you want the cool looking 92-94 talon rear end, get the lights and bumper cover as well as the metal inner support pieces. then it all goes right on.
