Hey guys, Im hoping you guys can help. I have searched for posts for a few hours now and I can't find the same issue. I did a 6 bolt swap and kept my 7 bolt head. Its a 96 Gst Spyder. Now the car wont start or even crank. I did the wiring for cas sensor the way Magnus did and It seems that I have a wiring issue. The battery is new but is not cranking. Now I think what would help is knowing what Magnus cas wiring is the best. I see they have a few options on how to wire it. I did the Injector swap to the Ecu pinout, did the Coil mod, and I connected the power, ground, and signal from the crank sensor to the cas harness. Then I connected the signal wire from the cam sensor to the cas harness, and left the power and ground alone as instructed in Magnuses website. Is there a better way or a right and wrong way? I also checked all wires and grounds. I should mention that I eliminated all Emissions components, but i dont thing that would affect start up.

check all the fuses. and start doing volt test starting from the battery till you find the break in curent that should norrow down the look for the culprit. just trial and error my friend.

Ill check the power and grounds again, i might of missed something. I thought it would be cas related because its acting the same way it did when my crank blew out the crank sensor when it walked on my 7 bolt. I do recall checking power on the starter and it had same power as battery. and the wires are conected tight. But I will start to follow all wires as you guys advised.

Do You have power to you dash, are all the instruments lighting up when you turn the key to the on position? as 94 tsi stated that you should look at you ignition wires. since your getting 12v to the starter i would think the proplem is after that particular part of the circut loop.

Yes everything is lighting up. The dash, all the gauges, all electronics work.

I checked the starter out side the car and its working fine. I did check for signal to the ignition wire to the starter while a friend turned it over, and I did not get anything, I used a test light. So I think I might have to chase more wires tomorrow. Does anyone have a 6 bolt swap with the cas wire modification, and if so which way worked? Im really thinking its the cas, cause everything worked before and its acting the same way it did when my crank sensor blew on my 7 bolt. Im gonna check every single Ignition related sensor wire tomorrow.

Update:
Alright so today I jumped the starter. It cranked and fired up the engine but sounded as if it was out of timing. Anyone have other ideas of where to check, most commonly missed solutions?
