6 bolt oil pump question

I ordered a oil pump for a 92 eagle talon tsi which is a 6 bolt. And the jackasses I ordered it from sent me a 7bolt oil pump. 2 of the bolt holes don't line up and the bottom of the oil pump cover is curved. My question is instead of me going through the hassle of sending it back can I just take the actually oil pump part out and put it in my old timing cover? If not just let me know. No big deal I just prefer not to go through the whole process of sending it back

The oil pump isn't just the gears and rear cover, front cover matters too. Send it back. BTW the part numbers for the gears aren't the same either.
