4g64 quick question

Alright i got a 4g64/4g63 long block. before i got it. i asked the guy if it had a 4g63 head gasket or a 4g64. he said he put on a 4g63 head gasket started it up and changed plan parted out the car.. from what i read the 4g63 head gasket cannot be used on a 4g64/63 hybrid.. is this true? does it matter? i didnt want to take it apart it has new arp head studs and fresh head.

If it is an OEM 4g63T Head gasket, It will work.
The OEM came oversize for the 4g63T, but if the 4g64 is over bored, then it will not work, The 4g63T head gasket will fit only a stock 4g64 block.
If the 4g64 is bored, then the head gasket will be to small for the over bored cylinders (4g64).

Forgot to mention, the 4g63T OEM Head Gasket is 86mm, the 4g64 Stock Block is 86.5mm, It could work, But if it is over bore, it definitely wont work which it will be 87mm (.20 over bore), 87.5 (.40 over bore).

My post (above) was not right..

The 4g63T Composite Head Gasket (9627PT) which it can be bought on almost any part store, it comes with 87.4mm, which it will work only for a virgin 4g64 (86.5mm).

The 4g63T block is 85.0mm, the 4g64 is 86.5mm, so saying that, the 4g63T Composite Head Gasket (9627PT) is 87.4mm, so it will work with a virgin (85.5mm) 4g64 Block.

The information from the 4g63T Head Gasket (9627PT),, I got it from the link posted below, however, I am building a G4cs (4G64) and will measure the head gasket my self once I get it and will post it here if those numbers are not accurate.

From first Hand, a Stock OEM 4g64 Head Gasket is 87.78mm.
