I have a 420a car and I think my fuel pump is going out. Will a 4G63T pump fit in the car and if so, with an injector change to the stock turbo injectors, will this be at all a noticable difference with no other mods to the car but an AEM short ram intake??

Sorry mods, this might have to be moved to the n/t forum but i thought that the turbo guys might be able to answer my question

fuel pump will bolt right in as long as its a 2g turbo fuel pump. Injectors i dont think will work as i doubt they are the same size as the 420a injectors, being they arent the same engine let alone even made by the same manufacturer. Most likely wrong impedience, plug, and phyiscial shape/length of body

Understood about the injectors, but how about the difference with the fuel pump? does it flow enough to make a difference??

It won't make any difference on its own since you're not altering anything that would have an effect on your fuel maps. Sure, you'll be pumping more fuel through your fuel lines and through the rail with a higher-capacity pump, but the ECU is opening your injectors for the same amount of time per revolution as they were before, so all that new excess fuel will just be routed back to the FPR and to the tank.

In addition, I don't believe you really need any more fuel since you're not introducing more air into the cylinders (as you would by increasing the boost of a turbo-charged car). I'm pretty sure most cars are tuned to run a bit on the rich side from the factory, so you'd benefit more from leaning out your air/fuel mixture than by introducing more fuel.

Thank you for the information, that is just what I was looking for.
