okay so isnt the 4g63 the same for 1st gen as it is for 2nd gen cars? why i am asking is because the exhaust headers are more abundant for the 2g so couldnt you possibly bolt one onto a 1g its the same engine right? i understand that the piping might be different going to the back of the car.. but if you are going to custom build your exhaust anyways couldnt that work.. or am i missing a difference... thanks

The 2g non-turbo vehicles use the 420a Chrysler engine. A header made for a 2nd gen non-turbo will not bolt up to your 1g with it's 4g63 engine. Now, the turbocharged 2ng gens do have a 4g63 engine. Even then, there are differences between a 1st gen 4g63 and a 2nd gen 4g63. I hope this helps.

2g will never bolt up to a 4g63. 420a wont even come close/ and that punishment header will not

yes it will, the punishment header is for the 4g63

I think he might have been asking if the headers 2G turbo cars bolt up to a 1g n/t since they are the same engine.

The header for a 2g turbo will bolt up. But, the design is completely different since there's a turbo that normally attaches there as well as the o2 housing. If you wanted to fabricate a wacky looking downpipe, then you could use it. I'm not sure what it would do for your performance though. I would think it would move your powerband up way too high.

The 2g turbo (4g63t) uses an exhaust manifold....Unless he plans on putting the turbo, intercooler, piping etc in i do not see how it will even remotely work.....

Punishment sells a 4g63 for the 1g n/t (4g63nt) That would work

They make headers for the turbo 4g63. That's what I was referring to. I shoulda been more specific.
