I have a 92 galant and the motor is blown and i need a replacement, Its the DOHC 4g63 n/a motor and i need one in considerably good condition and must run. Also how hard would it be to put the SOHC motor into it? what all would be needed ?

are you talking the 420a motor or the 1.8L... because i wouldn't see why you would want to go to a little motor like the 1.8L since it does have considerably lower gas mileage, and my car actually gets better gas mileage than my buddys 1.8L

i just want a motor in it at the time not too wrryd about performance or anything

There are also SOHC versions of the 4G63, but putting one in a DOHC equiped Galant would be more trouble than fixing the existing engine. The SOHC 4G63 uses a distributer and would need a different ECU and wiring.

yea thats what i was thinkin but yea that would be too much work i just want to get a motor into it as quick as possible and most junkyards are wanting 700 for ??way too much
