I just wanted to know if you take a 4g63 motor out of an oldschool Eclipse do you think it will fit in a 97 Mirage? I don't know if you have to change the motor mounts or anything else but if you can tell me the process ( in detail) what I would have to do. If you have any other swap Ideas for me just tell me. I want to do this swap so I can have an EVo but don't have the money. So I thought about a motor swap with the 4g63 since the Evo 5 and 6s have the same motor i thougt I could swap my Mirage into a MIRAGEVOLUTION.:sneaky: Then maybe I'll get some ITB's for it to give me 20-25 more horses. So if you have don'e this, know someone who has, just let me know what they did.:hmm::thumb::D:hellyeah:

Here's some info:
4G63 swap into Mirage - Automotive Forums .com Car Chat
and just go down through these and read
mirage 4g63 - Google Search

So, you're going to swap in a 4g63, but not turbo it? You'd be better off putting the money for an ITB setup into a turbo setup instead.

My first Mitsubishi was a 1997 Mitsubishi Mirage LS Coupe.

Before I had that I was an all muscle guy, I had a '77 Chevy Nova which was a beast. But I got the Mirage and heard about 4g63's. I assumed that it was a similar layout and looked into research on UTDSM.org. Turns out it wasn't simple. I sold the Mirage and got my 95 TSi AWD. I have not looked back since. I advise you to do the same.
