Anyone With A 420a...
Please...

I Need Pictures, So I Can "compare" To See What Im Missing.

I Need Pictures Of The Throttle Body...particulary The Vacuum Line, And Where It Leads To...

Also The Middle Valve In Between The Fpr Valve And Egr Valve...i Need To Know Where That Vacuum Line Leads To.

I Do Believe They Lead To The Evap...but I Have No Idea Where The Lines Go Into...please Take Pictures Of Your Evap And Show Me....

This Will Greatly Help Me Out...thank You!!!

If You Live Near Baltimore, Md...let Me Know, Maybe You Can Bring You Eclipse Or 420a Down So I Can Check Back And Forth Whats Wrong And What Im Missing...

Well seeing how you don't know what you're missing from looking at yours, how about you post pics up of yours and let us tell you what you're missing?

We will probably be able to figure it out more quickly than you(no offense by that)

The large connector on the TB connects to a hard line between the timing belt cover and right fender and eventually goes under the fender/bumper to an evap purge valve.

HAHAHAHAHAHA WOOHOO...

MY CAR FINALLY IDLES!!!!

I put the throttle body gasket on...connected the vacuum line from the throttle body to the emission/valve near the cam gears...cranked it...vroom...idles at 1000rpm.

I'm so happy...sounds a lil rough...

But my baby just woke up from a LONG nap...she she's a lil cranky..but she'll get back into the swing of things.

I still got some minor things...like the accerlator cable bracket bolts broke off flush...so i gotta get a easy-out and get those out, and buy new bolts...um...the antifreeze is dripping...so new lines...minor stuff...but ha...she idles...so happy.

All up hill from here...thanks alot guys.!!!

Haha...as soon as I read that i banged my knuckles on my desk...totally forgot about that...

Now my Intake was REALLY dirty, but while it's running, I'll spray some Carb+Choke Cleaner, try nd clean that sht out...and my anti-freeze is leaking, so I'll try to fix that up...the piping that runs across the Exhaust Headers...yeah, she leaks right there, and it drips onto the piping and burns/smokes...no biggy, seems like an easy fix...

Did something kinda funny yesturday...I went to "Crazy Rays" a local junk yard to look for a Door Motor, and Tracks for my sunroof...came up with nothing...

Got home, took apart my door panel, to figure out the problem, come to realize...haha I feel so stupid, I had the window lock on...thats why my passenger side door window wasnt going up or down...i deserve dummy smacks for that one...

So thats one less problem I have to deal with.

I ran a test on my car again...code test...still coming up with that P0412...not quite sure why yet...but im happy its idling. Also it reads P0123...something about the Pedal Sensor, but I think that's because the Accelerator Cable/Bracket isnt hooked up, because I tightened it a lil bit too hard, they were old bolts, and they broke off flush with the manifold...so I need to get some easy-outs, and get those broken off bolts out, find 2 new bolts and place the bracket back.

If it runs/idles or whatever...its good enough to get it to a mechanic's shop for minor-major tune up...work out all the small problems.

I'm hoping to have the car ready by March 4th, my 20th Birthday.
Why so late? Because I'm ordering parts for it, Like a Short-Shifter, Duraflex Sensei Body Kit, and Blue 8500k Xenon/Krypton Halogen (9005/9006) Bulbs for my Projector Headlights. Also a Razo Shift Knob. Oh and these Reclinable Racing Bucket Seats.

My girlfriend is also going to buy this CD Player that lights up all blue.

Dont feel bad. You are not the only one who's done that. I did it once when I was in high school. The only problem was it was raining the time I was in school. When I got out, I realized I locked the window.:shhh:

LoL...

I just took a ride with a friend to "Tweeters" an entertainment store, for your audio, and visual, etc etc...

Anyways...I got a 'qoute' for how much it would cost to 'HOOK UP" my eclipse...check it out...

Sht- I'm thinking about doing everything on my own!!!

Atleast 300.00 is going to Labor, and the other stuff sounds kind of high priced!

Any suggestions?

I -WAS- going to do dynomat the bare trunk (where spare tire used to be)...buy and cut out 3/4" plywood where rear hatch board used to be (covering spare tire), cut 10in for subwoofer...drop the 10 subwoofer in...hook it up...use 2 6x9 Kenwoods, use a regular CD Player Head Unit, and buy some inexpensive yet nice door speakers...and look into an amp to push everything, maxmum so I can get the best sound.

So I thought I'd go to Tweeters, and they told me I cant do any of it. They said I have to find a multi channel Amp, and a Head Unit that has I derno...he basically started talking Jiberish..I have no idea what half the sht- he said. Something how most Head Units wont be able to be compatible with the other speakers including subwoofer, like it needs to be able to send wattage to the front, rear, then the sub?...grrr...this audio sht- is starting to get a lil complexed.

So I was like..okay...whats the cheapest it would cost me for a ncie setup...like a nice system, but not wasting too much money...he looked into things and came up with that price...

My boy said that a 3year warrantied setup for just under 2k is a really good price...I derno...opinions???

Its funny you ask... I just did my own sound system over winter break. This thread has gotten terribly off topic, so I'll keep this short - if you have any more questions, feel free to PM me though, I'll give you all the details you need.
Anyway, I did my whole set-up for about $250 - mind you, that I wasn't going for competition level audio, just something that was good quality and that sounded good. That included 2 Pioneer 6.5" Door Speakers, 2 Pioneer 6x9" Rear Speakers, a Sony XPLOD headunit (glows all in blue, plays CD-Rs, MP3's, XM, etc.), a Pyramid Crystal Amp, and two 12" Subs.
Furthermore, I spent $0 on installation... I have a little experience with electronics, but this was my first time installing any audio components in a car.

Sounds good...Can we get a moderator to close this thread...it's served its purpose...Thanks to all that helped.
