take your plug wires out, look down the hole and see if you see any oil. thats telling you its a valve cover/spark plug gasket. thats more then likely what it is.

to fix: get new gaskets

yah thats it there is oil in there, so where can i get the gasket, ive never replaced a gasket before, is it just common sense in putting it on, or is there a touch to it? thanks for the help

ya if theres oil on top, or it leaks down the back of the engine from the top its usually the VC gasket. our engines are known for VC gasket leaks, not head gasket.

if your leaking oil though onto the ground, than that is not your main problem but id fix that also LOL.

Most likely if you are leaking into were the spark plug wires go your valve seal is shot or try tightening the bolts for the valve cover, they may have gotten loose like mine did.
Other possible leak areas are

Rear Main seal & around the oil pump.

i had oil leak but it was into my coolant and tha was cause i cracked my head, so i just swapped the engine....which i just completed thank you very much

Rear main seal? Is that the actual name of this part? and what you mean, "around the oil pump"?

I soon will be replacing my:

Headgasket
Valvecover gasket & o-rings
Valve seals
Piston rings
Exhaust mainifold gasket
Headstuds

That list sound complete to you?

i have a oil leak too.... i took it to a shop but i forgot what he said... none the less he said it would cost about 750 bux to fix!!! WTF!!! thats alot for a oil leak... i'm not very good around the hood... so could you just tell me how things look and if there are leaks coming from there how would it look and how could i stop it... i will take as much pictures as you'd like.. just tell me what you'd like to see a pic of n i'll tell you... thanx

the rear main seal is what goes between the Transfer Case and engine or Engine block and trans. mine is shot and i leak oil from there, imma fix it when i pull the engine.
and if you go to a shop -advanced auto/auto zone You ask for a rear main seal for your car its about 17 bucks.

And the gasket around the outside of the oil pump almost 70% of the time there is a oil leak on a 2g its from there, ur gonna have to remove some motor mounts to get to it, if thats the case were ur leaking from.

TIP: wash down the engine make it all nice and clean than run the car for alittle and see were its leaking from.

Please use the search option in order to find the answer to your question. A quick search would have produced sufficient information to aid in diagnosis in your problems. Searching will also show you the names of people who have both addressed the same questions as well as the people that have consistantly had the correct answers. You could easily PM those people in order to find out the fix.
Thanks,
Doug
