4 spider center diff in ontario?

I find myself needing to upgrade my center diff but the only places I can find that offer this service are in the states... so my question is can any machine shop build you a 4 spider center diff? I know a local machine shop in town that could give me a deal on getting it done but they don't know a thing about dsm's or center diffs. is there anything special that they couldn't do?

my reasons for wanting to do this:

- To avoid shipping charges (quoted roughly $60 from jacks)
- To avoid over the boarder charges (probably over $100)
- Convenience (probably take a month to get it said and done in the states)
- Overall just to save money

jacks trans center diff (with tax) - $450.87
shipping - $60
border charges - $100 (roughly)
total - $610

i'm thinking I could save a lot here if I just get it done in town especially considering I know the people


I don't want to weld it because i've done it before and i diden't like the way it drove.

I did some more research and found this page:

Or drive to Port Huron and get a US post-box. There are places that rent out such on the US side at almost all major crossing points.

Did you give them a call to see if they can help you out? Maybe they can do the work for you or refer someone to do the work in Canada.

+1 on this. I saved quite a bit money overseas simply having everthing shipped to my mom's and having her forward stuff to me.

yea they are in Ontario... only about 3 hours away i believe, i looked on there website though and all they had for transmission parts was dogbox gear sets

If Magnus can't you could always try https://www.rtmracing.com/xcart/ in Niagara. Usually if they don't have it they'll order it for you and ship it your way.

haha funny story... I got looking on that website and got sidetracked. I ended up buying a 3000gt big brake kit with the cobra rotors

guess the 4 spider center diff will have to wait a little longer... o well, i have all winter i guess
