hey guys,

i was planning on placing my 4 channel amp beneath my passenger seat where the stock infinity one was, but i dont think its going to fit... Was anyone able to put an aftermarket one down there? where did everyone put theres?

Is the trunk the only option?

Thanks guys

and any tips regarding car audio installation in a 2g will be much appreciated!

Yup I was able to.

Dimensions: 2"H X 10.25"W X 11.5"D

Thats about the size of your average 4 channel amp.

Still way too big, you need to do some cutting. And bang the seat a bit. But I'm very proud of the job I did. I would not do it again unless it was my own car or someone paid me. I've done several 2g audio setups. Putting it behind the seats in the trunk is much easier though.

All the leads for the inside speakers (obviously for your 4 channel amp) ARE under the passenger seat on the stock infinity harness. Very easy hook up if you manage to fit it there. If your amp is small enough to fit without any cutting its convenient. If you have have NON-power seat, which I assume you did since you have a GS-T. Under the driver seat actually has more room.

Again if you don't want to do any modifications to make the amp fit under the passenger seat. Make sure the dimensions are smaller than what I listed above. 1.5"H x 10"W x 10" would probably be the max.

yea.... i guess in the trunk is my best bet. the reason i strayed from the idea at first tho is because ive got 2 different amps in my system. my 4 ch is a pioneer, and the 2 ch sub amp is a sony. thought it would look silly with two diff amps hanging off the back seats... o well im doing it for the sound, not look right?

thanks
