Does anyone know how to wire up a 3g MAf in a 2g?
I have the pigtail for the 3g Maf and the 2g pigtail was cut off by previous owner. I do have another pigtail for a 2g MAF
I know i can buy this to run it but I'm on a slight budget and dont want to fork out $45 plus shipping for it.
Can anyone help me out?

evo maf which is better air flow 66lbs/min to be exact and the 2g maf which is 50 lbs/min. So evo would be better. As for mpg that all depends on how are you beating on your car. You will get the same mpg with either or.

How are you going to correct for the difference in airflow between the two MAFs.
The 3G/EVO MAF will report a lower airflow count for the same mass of air that the 2G MAF does so without correction the engine will run leaner.

It's not just a straight swap between the two MAFs even after you change the connector.

Are you saying im completely wrong for what i told him, or are you referring to the op.

Should the 2g maf plug and 3g maf plug be different side by side?

They are different connectors but assuming you have the two connectors in the same orientation the wires should be in the same order.

1 - +5 sensor power
2 - Baro Output
3 - MAF Hz Output
4 - +12v power
5 - Ground
6 - IAT Output
7 - MAF reset
8 - NC

big power has been made on 2g mas

I am sure its suitable for you power needs. When you get a chance switch to the 3g, takes up less room and isnt a bulky, not to mention you don't need a 4-3 reducer, just a 3.125 inch coupler. Unless you are still running the stock 2g intake snorkel.

goodluck
