300zx calipers

anybody use 300zx alloy calipers on a DSM? caliper with pad is about 7lbs.. about half the dsm twin piston caliper.

I was to try them but found they need just as much wheel clearance as a brembo. I am after weight savings and not really added brake power. 16' 205 tires on volks are pretty easy to stop. I decided to try lightweight GM III calipers. i will make a thread on how it turns out. I currently run the outlander setup with EBC reds. very happy with them. just looking to try my own version of lightweight brakes. I picked up these 11.5 inch rotors off ebay. needed to be sure the size was gonna work before ordring the rest of the parts. they look great. less than 20lbs for the pair. saves about 10. the calipers will shave another 15. so i will shave about 25lbs for not too much cash with negligible loss in braking power.
