i have the 14b already and i'm in the marktet to buy a 2g xhaust mani.

My question is will the 14b bolt right up to the 2G manifold?

I will be upggrading to a 16g around Christmas (santa better bring it or i'll bust his knee caps) will the 16g bolt up as well?
Ive seen some turbos need a kit to make the turbo bolt up and i really dont feel like spending all kinds of money on a kit for the turbo to bolt up.

and last but not least i wont have the manifold in time to the car rebuild so is it terribly difficult to install a xhaust mani?

thanks guys & gals :thumb: :talon:

Also what years should I be looking for.

Ok so if i get a 2G manifold Can i use my Stock 1G O2 housing?

Yes, it is a very simple bolt-on. You might have to grind 1/8th of an inch off of a corner to clear a motor mount, but besides that, everything fits perfect. Yes, your 1g o2 housing will work. It's very easy.

I just put a 2g exhaust manifold on last week, and all I had to do was use a sanding stone with the drill to grind down the right corner a little bit. After that, it slips right in.

Be careful with those manifold bolts and turbo bolts, because they are old and break.

Also, when putting the turbo bolts back in, make sure you put them in as far as you can by hand. If you feel those bolts having trouble, don't force them in or they will strip.

I had to rethread twice because they began to strip.

It should only take about 30-45 minutes if you don't have any bolt issues. You will need a 12mm and 14mm swivel socket to get the right and a couple of the bottom manifold bolts off. It is a little easier if you drop the powersteering pump (just 3 14mm bolts, two on the pully side).

Also, I upgraded to a big 16G and the manifold fits just fine. The original 02 sensor housing will fit back on and will also fit upgraded 2.5 inch downpipe if thats in your future.

Good luck and use lots of PB Blaster before you crack those bolts!
