Hey,
I have a 95 TSi AWD that had the AC belt squeal and pour smoke fairly recently. So I figured the compressor had to be toast as the pulley still spins freely. I first I cut the AC belt to make the car driveable and I recently removed the old AC compressor & capped the lines when I installed a new (used) transmission. I'm about to replace the driver side outer axle boot and thought maybe I should throw a compressor in while the front left axle is out. Plus I'm in Charleston SC and it's very hot here until September.
So I'm basically ready to pull the trigger on an Amazon BAP (Buy Auto Parts) AC compressor replacement kit that has a new compressor, drier, expansion valve and all new gaskets. However I'm on the fence with also replacing the condenser. And rolli in the fact that I have searched and searched and I can't find one good thread or even some pics with info on replacing the expansion valve. Anyone have any tips or how to info with regard to replacing the expansion valve?
It's so hot here I'm ready to throw a few hundred at this kit and maybe a condenser and see if I can get the formerly sealed functioning AC system working again. Any expansion valve or AC experience is appreciated, thanks!

Sorry for the long post just feeling a little flustered. Can anyone point me to a thread anywhere on the web on replacing the AC Expansion Valve in a turbo 2g? Thank you
