Resolved 2G Sudden jerking

I put my car in 1st, and started to drive when my car suddenly jerked and bucked me as if it hit fuel cut, all my dash lights came on and the dinging noise as if I was turning my car on. And it stayed started. I had just changed idle air control and removed positive terminal, but I had made sure everything was good and tight after the first jerk.

I started driving again and did a couple pulls to make sure, but when I pressed in the clutch and started braking hard it did it again but without the jerk, as I wasn't giving gas. But this time stayed off. Then it did it on a turn and I can hear loud clicks coming from my ECU area.

It would start but then wouldn't stay started. So I popped the hood and it smelled like burning plastic. Or electrical. I popped the fuse box and some fuses were hot. But I got back in and it started up and I drove it home easy.

I have no idea whats wrong, I hope someone else had this problem.

Sounds like you have a bad wire or loose connection somwhere. Make sure your battery terminals are actually getting tight. Could be your battery might want to check output of that and alternator. Also check MPI or Engine fuse make sure it's not blown or about to blow.

I know alternator is good

Why does it do that? Like it completely stops the car but none of the lights turn off

Cutting power to ecu I guess? Hard to say bro just go over your work and make sure nothing is loose. Check grounds.

Make sure your battery isnt shorting against the hood. If you just moved terminals this is suspect.

At least burn marks if it did

You need a proper battery hold down, proper fitting battery and good terminals. Dont use wingnuts, theyre too big.

Just had this same exact problem damn those wingnuts that are conviently located right under the rib under the hood ....
