I already have all bolt ons for this power. I am planning a long block for 800 whp. I have a 6 bolt block ready for hot tank and over bore, head ready for port work and re assembly. I want this motor to withstand alot. I have a set of 2g pistons laying around but I dought they will hold this power. I was thinking of going with ballanced and lightened crank, ross 8.5.to1 pistons and groden aluminum rods, arp head studs, ballance shafts eliminated, cosmetic head gaskit, clevite bearings, fierra stainless 1mm over valves, crower valve springs & retainers, 3g lifters flow bench ported head, moroso oil pan. Am I missing anything? I am just a little unshure about the rods and pistons and if I am forgeting somthing.

Go big or go home. You might as well do it only once... if you have the means.

Ross pistons should hold up to nearly anything you can throw at it. And, there are cheaper valves than the ones you picked. Check out SI valves.

Also, if I were you, I'd ditch the Crower springs and get dual valve springs. Crowers aren't much better than stock and with your proposed mods, you'd definitely be able to make the big power up top...Think 9500rpm. Crowers are great for a mild bolt on car, but since your goal is a drag car, why not utilize the higher RPM band to get a monster turbo?

Ya, I am starting a motor build that I plan on doing over a 1 year span little bit by little bit sence my other motor is in good shape and I still can race with it. I'll probably put the 2g pistons in my daily driver then sence it is a 1g 7bolt so no machine work required. Thanks for replies, I will check into the dual valve springs and SI valves. Also the turbo I am going to be using is a garret T67 full t4

I agree w/ the si valves, they can handle anything.
