Alright, I've done my research and came up with nothing. None of the threads had an answer. If anyone has done this on their 2G please share information on how to do this (were the mounts different? Any special wiring?) I will have to purchase a new alternator soon so any help would be great. Thanks.

I am working with the same problem. At the local wreck yard all the eclipse non turbo have a two wire plug and the mine is a four wire, so i assuming all turbos are four wire and the nons are two. Although i checked a galnt while there and the plug is four wire and fits right in, but the mounting bracket looks two narrow to fit on the engine. There are guys on here that say the '97 galant alternator fit with no modification. I have yet to find out. but the n/a eclipse will not go toe the turbo eclipse from what i have personally seen.

The 2g NT alt cannot be used on the 2g turbo. It uses different wiring (2 wire vs 4 wire) and does not have a regulator in it (it uses the NT ECU for regulation which is completely incompatible with the turbo ECU).
