What is the max amount of whp the 2g maf can handle before you have to switch to a GM maft?

Are you talking a 3" GM MAF, or the 3" 3G/EVO MAS?
I posted this recently on the GVR-4 site:
"One spec I CAN compare from the data I have is the pressure drop:
about .5 psi MAX for the 3G (#482)
almost 1 psi for the 2G. But, this is the MAXIMUM manufacturing spec, so there is nothing saying they all lose that much.
Another spec to compare is the maximum airflow they are made to count:
2G = 2700 Hz MAX at .1153 Hz per liter = 311 liters per second
3G = 2200 Hz MAX at .1478 Hz per liter = 325 liters per second
When you compare this to the anemic 1G MAS with .090 liter per Hz and a 2000 Hz safe cap, thats only 180 lps! "

So if the "unhacked" 2G MAS flows enough for 400WHP then the 3G flowing 4.5% more ((325-311)/311) would support 418WHP?

It really has more to do with how much air it can measure, and while that has something to do with horsepower, it's all down to how much air is being pushed through. If you're outflowing the MAS on a log you'll know it since the curve will break up really bad. I haven't heard of many people outflowing the GM MAF.
