My apologies for starting a new thread, I know the info is here, I just can't find it. I'm looking to replace my street tires on my stock 1g rims. Will a 225/50/R16 fit on the rim, at stock ride height, with no clearance issues? I wanted to get a little more rubber on the road because I take it to the track a lot and could use the extra contact. Currently on the street I have 2 useless gears :D

This is an AWD car in the low 11's. This is the tire I am looking at. Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec

Thanks!

well i just ordered some BFG KDW 2 tires that are gonna be 225/55zr16. Once i get them i'll let you know. The wheel i'm putting them on are close to stock,16 x 6.5 +40 offset. My concern was the height of the tire which come out to like 25.7" for me and i figured if ppl put Hoosier QTP which are 26" i should be good.

A 26" on a semi fast dsm is just too tall. For the 8 and 9 second guys that are trapping high mph they are fine, but you might miss your RPM.

I have 225/50-16's on my car right now. Stock 1g wheels and no clearance issues. I'm at stock height and plan to lower it a little with the same setup.

well i'm putting them on a FWD so i figured it would help becuz i spin the shit out of my stock tire. i know for a AWD it might hurt it more if the power isn't up to par but i think in my case i might be alright.
